Inspired by The Daily Post Weekly Writing Challenge – Countdown “Tis the season for suspense-building lists.”
Apologies but my creative streak, what I had of it has upped and left this week. I have therefore gone with the WordPress suggestion of a list of my most viewed posts of the year.
It has been a great year and I have thoroughly enjoyed my first venture into blogging, my idea was for an eclectic mix of writings and musing and I think this is reflected in the readers choice.
James Cagney takes the top spot, which may well have been helped by publishing it on the 4th of July, very close behind is a the Georgian folk band ‘Bani’. I really like this a lot, my musical tour of Europe has been a lot of fun. A long way to go before I have finished but I am trying to think of ways to adapt it and continue it as a feature indefinitly.
Next is my ‘About ‘ page, a selection of music, a movie clip of grace Kelly and a rude statue in Helsinki. No gardening! no real surprise there and no short stories or poetry, I won’t be retiring to live on Necker Island just yet then. I must try harder in 2015.
I wasn’t at all sure which direction my blog would take when I started it eight months ago and I probably still haven’t. It is though a lot of fun and very encouraging that far more people than I ever imagined are taking the time to like, comment and follow my site. Thanks once again.
Here then is the top ten posts on ‘The Rambling Gardener’ for 2014, should you have been unlucky enough to miss them the first time around.
